Drummer Joey Covington died on June 4th due at an automobile accident. Covington garnered a bit of fame for playing in Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Hot Tuna in the late 60s and early 70s. He didn't play with those bands for a super long time. In the 80s and 90s played in some Bay Area All-Star groups. He apparently loved to play the drums. He will be missed by his fans and family.
