I didn't realize for years that these southern rock bands such a Lynyrd Skynyrd were a big part of my childhood playing in the background either by my friend's older brothers or perhaps an uncle listening to these tunes on the radio. Shinedown, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Limp Bizkit are new2me bands. The latter of the three is my least favorite but I appreciated listening to them. Great set here! I didn't realize Lynyrd Skynyrd was from FL. I figured they were from Alabama. I bet alot of folks erroneously think that. "Simple Man" is absolutely my favorite Skynrd song. Well, it's right up there with "Give Me Back My Bullets." Every time I hear Simple Man, i get kind of melancholy because it reminds me of my fried Ben, who tragically died after being hit by a train some years ago. They played Simple Man at his funeral. And that he truly was.
I never heard of Shinedown. I really like their "Get Up".
And Molly Hatchet's "Gator Country" sure brings back the memories!
