Z is for Zorro

I remember watching reruns of this show when I was a child. Mostly when I would visit my Grandparents over the Summer. I'd watch this show along with several other classic Westerns.

That show started out in the late 50s, before my time, but the legend of Zorro was older than that in Hollywood. A clip from the 1940 movie "Mark of Zorro"

Probably my generation knows Zorro best from this movie.."The Legend of Zorro"

Where do you know Zorro from? Do you have any Zorro memories? Feel free to share in the comments.

Apparently there was a cartoon series as well.

Thanks for joining me on the A to Z Challenge.

Asa baby-boomer kid, we always played Zorro. Or when we would leave a mark, it would be a "Z". Congrats for getting through the A-Z and being a commenter on my blog. It was fun, but I'm happy it's over now.

Somehow, The Mark of Zorro was known, even tho' I didn't really know who Zorro was. Until, as you say, I got a little older and realized it was Antonio Banderas. :-)

Happy A-Z Survival Dance!

I remember the black & white Zorro from my early childhood. Never really understood then what was going on. I love the movies!

Mike,

It seems like I watched an old B&W Zorro movie or TV show when I was a kid but that's been too many years ago to remember. I have seen the two newer Zorro flicks with Antonio Banderas and just loved both. Banderas is purrfect in the role! Thanks for sharing and for visiting my Art Sketching Through the Alphabet “Z” post. Congrats for completing April's challenge! ;)

I think it was the Disney Channel. They showed the episodes in the '90s, I think. Maybe earlier? I rather liked that show.

I will be checking out your A to Z over the course of this weekend. I never watched the TV show but I know the films and, obviously, the most recent. They are fun. You missed "Zorro, The Gay Blade."
