R.I.P Allen Toussaint

Allen Toussaint has been awarded the National Medal of the Arts, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an AMA Lifetime Achievement Winner, and an artist who has been covered by a who's Who's list of artist. It might be easier to klist who hasn't cover his songs.

He passed away today. After a show in Spain he suffered a heart attack and at the age of 77 passed away.

Here he is with "Southern Nights"..

"On Your Way Down"..

"A Certain Girl"

The world has lost a great songwriter. You may not recognize his name but you will recognize his songs. His songs is a treasury to the music world and quite a legacy to pass on.

Another great from the Entertainment field has passed. What a shame. He is a great talent that should be known much better than the Biebers' and Cyrus's of the world. Oh, If you wish, head over to my blog because your song pick for the BOTB inspired me create a card. I hope you like it:)

He will remain a music legend. Seems like a lot of music greats have been dying off lately.

Hope you stop by to support Guilie's guest post on my blog. We're doing a joint BOTB post next time around and she's introducing the song I'll be using on my blog today.

He was a true legend and Lord knows it was well-deserved. They just don't make them like Toussaint anymore. :-(
