Blogging from A to Z April Challenge: V is for Vine Snake

Above is a picture of a Vine Snake taken by me at Alligator Alley. It was a sunny day so I apologize for the glare.

It is a venomous snake whose venom is not fatal. However, if one was bitten it would not be enjoyable. Symptoms could last three days. Pain, swelling, bruising and discomfort would be the symptoms.

We are in the final week of the challenge  and I hope to share a few more reptiles with you!

I haven't thought much about vine snakes, but seen photos of them before. I didn't know they were venomous. They look like innocent thin little snakes!

A very nice green colour but I wouldn't want to meet him in the bush. Where is he from?

How brave of you to get close enough tp photograph the snake.
Wonderful all the same for letter "V".

Mike,

I'm happy to read that snake was on the other side of the glass and you were safe. That would give me the shivers to see the sneaky, slithering critter outside my window. But, I probably would've reached for my iPhone to capture a shot of it. There's no harm in that. :)
