This blog spot is the home to my ramblings. I am a free lance writer. Most of my work goes on Associated Content. Sometimes I write what is on my mind, sometimes I plug some of my writing, and sometimes a combination of the two. So, sit back read, enjoy, and we will see where it goes.
Bob Dylan songs same to get a live of their own. He has been covered by The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses, The Who, Robert Plant, and many more. So picking a gem like "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again" would certainly give me some options.

Yes as many of my readers know April is the time for the big A to Z Blogging Challenge. Obviously looking at my posts I am sitting this year out. I think this is the second one I missed the first one being before I knew about the challenge.
Last year I disappeared from the blogosphere. I think I made a half dozen posts after last year's challenge. Nothing after August 1 until December 29th.
Even though my blog is getting back to some level of normalcy whatever that may look like. It is not a shock I am taking the month long challenge off.
If you have never done the challenge I recommend you give it a try next year. It is certainly away to find new blogs, give your blog some exposure and make some new connections.
If you are doing the challenge this year I hope it is going great for you!
To me I like to spend times outdoors so I think JJ Grey and Mofro's "Lochloosa" sums it up. This is from a life version so might not want to blast it at work. Maybe a GD, or bull s**t thrown in.

David Crosby passed away earlier this year. I thought I would pay tribute to him with a song like I did Jeff Beck last go around. A song from Crosby, Stills and Nash would make sense, but I thought I would go farther back to The Byrds. A group Cros founded and pick a song he co-wrote.

Jeff Beck without a doubt was one of the greatest guitarists ever. An artist I saw several times, the last time being September 30th. He is the reason I bought a Fender Stratocaster and an artist I have featured numerous times on my Battle of the Bands. Jeff was in the Yardbirds and had an incredible solo career. He played sessions with a who's who list of artists.

It is back-to-back championships for the Bulldogs and their next challenge will be if they can three-peat.
I've been away for a bit. Even that with a couple of stabs at these Battle of the Bands I haven't truly been back to blogging. So maybe "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" might be more fitting. Oh well here we give it a stab with Jimi Hendrix's blues classic "Voodoo Chile."
I know it has been a while, but the rules remain the same. I will present the original. Then two challengers are given, and you let me know which cover version you like the best in the comments.
There are a lot of choices for covers for any song played by Jimi. He is a legend of the guitar and an influencer of many who followed. Zakk Wyld is a great metal, hard rock guitarist. Paring Zakk with Les Paul's Trio is eclectic enough, but for him to perform the song on an acoustic guitar adds another wrinkle. The song certainly continues to rock. Angelique Kidjo interprets the song with a more modern, world music twists.
