Monday's Music Moves Me: Songs with Dance Moves!

It is that time again! Are you ready for Monday? Well hopefully these songs will help.

This week's theme Songs with Dance Moves! I'm putting my dance shoes on my two left shoes and getting ready to shake a tail feather. Watch out cat! Watch out furniture! Hope I don't hurt something.

What would Jimmy Buffett do? He'd tell you there are fins to the left, fins to the right..

If you on the dance train let's do the "Locomotion"

Nice little gem from Little Eva. Let's work it like we are at the "YMCA"

Are you ready to "Twist"..

Alright, time for a water break! I'm gonna go put on some James Brown or surf over and see what the other M4 participants have going on. (Check out the sidebar for links)

Thanks for visiting! Next week will be a Labor Day Special for Monday's Music Moves Me. So watch me work it!

Mike,

You and I picked two of the same songs with today's mewsic theme. I should've known my selecetions would get exposure elsewhere but I just couldn't resist featuring them because they bring back some funtastic memories. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with the 4M gals. Have a tunetastic week, my friend!

Great songs. We both went with "Fins", that is a great song.

LOL It looks like many of us went with Chubby Checker today. I should have stayed with one of my original choices and put in The Tennessee Waltz or Waltzing Matilda, just to mix it up a bit. I agree this was a really fun theme today!

Hi Mike.
I don't believe that you have two left feet! :)
I love that you included Jimmy Buffet! I never gave a thought to that song. Excellent choice!
Such a fun theme this week. I hope you had a good time dancing in your living room and hope the cat is safe... :)

Have a great week,

I was still kind of young when the Twist came out, but I was in the know enough to be aware that the dance fad was all the rage for a few years. Seemed like everyone was twisting back then.
