Battle of the Bands Results: Counting Raindrops

A Hal David and Burt Bacharach classic performed by BJ Thomas was setting for the battle. The Battle featured a crooner versus a modern band. I thought the latter might run away with it.

The award winning Welsh band The Manic Street Preachers were my bet to win. They gave it a try earning two votes.

Johnny Mathis understands the great American Songbook and "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" belongs in that book. Well Johnny won easily with 5 votes.

The score 5 to 2.

 Celebrating winners...

Monday's Music Moves Me: April Showers

It is going to be a busy day on my blog today. I didn't want to miss the fun of a Monday's Music Moves Me dance party. The theme for today is April Showers, in other words songs about rain. Let's start  the party off by getting the Led out!

Led Zeppelin "The Rain Song"

I'm all over the place "Singing in the Rain" by Gene Kelly

Some people are "Only Happy When it Rains" (Garbage)

Blue Rodeo "Rain Down On Me"

B.J. Thomas "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head"

Phil Collins (featuring Eric Clapton) "I Wish it Would Rain Down"

Hope you enjoyed and I will see you soon!
