Monday's Music Moves Me: Lowell George Day

On this day in 1979 Lowell George passed away. Lowell George was a founding member of Little Feat, a session player and a record producer.

This was one of his early singles with a band called The Factory called "Smile, Let Your Life Begin."

Lowell with Frank Zappa "Hey Girl"

Little Feat "Willin'"

Lowell George "20 Million Things"

Some fun deep tracks and Willin'. I will be back soon!

Mike,

I'm not sure I remember Lowell George. Your song picks certainly didn't set off any bells. Oh well...that's okay because I got to sample all new-to-me tunes with your mewsic set. Rock on, my friend and thanks for joining the 4M crew on the dance floor. Have a boogietastic week!

Another great musician who left us too early...

Deep tracks indeed. Far Out! I never got into Little Feat that much, but now, with maturity, I really enjoyed Willin'. And listened to about 5 minutes of the Frank Zappa video. Oh yes, deep tracks.

Thanks for the introduction - I enjoyed those! Too bad another artist left this earth too soon. Hope you had a Happy 4th, and are having a great weekend!
