Perhaps the greatest boxer has passed away. I am talking about the one who floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee, Muhammad Ali.
He started his pro career winning 31 straight bouts and finished his career 56-5. Ali was a three-time World Champion. Ring Magazine name him Boxer of the Year more times then any other participant in the sport. He was named "Sportsman of the Year" by Sports Illustrated. He was inducted into the IBC International Boxing Hall of Fame. Other notable awards include the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, Presidential Citizens Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Hi, Mike!
I loved watching these videos and remembering Ali's rise to the top of the boxing game, how he was befriended by Howard Cosell, and the electricity in the air as Ali took on Frazier (and Foreman) in the ring. I was glued to those fight broadcasts back in the day. They were among the most exciting and suspenseful moments in television history. More than a champion athlete, Ali was a showman.
Thanks for paying tribute to him.
I was shocked to hear about this, but not so shocked in the end. Sad day. May he rest in peace.
