Battle of the Bands Results: Martin Sexton is your Ice Cream Man

Martin Sexton ran away with my Battle of the Bands battle winning 6 to 1. The more interesting question was the Battle of your favorite ice cream. The answers were very unique and made me hungry.

Martin Sexton is "Bound for Glory" after winning my Battle.

 /
                                               "In the Journey"

August is just around the corner and I am sure I will have a new battle. What song will it be? I don't know.

I read on Facebook today is National Ice Cream Day. After fact checking on google and confirming today is National Ice Cream Day I thought it would be fun to add another Battle. Battle of the Bands Result: Counting votes like 1, 2, 3

One

It looked like I was going to have a tie and a shutout for a while. The shutout ended with the last vote so Aaron Neville finally had a vote.

Two

The Soweto Gospel Choir sounded great and they took an early two nothing lead. However, that was the only votes they received.

Three

Nicolette Larson was victorious capturing three votes.

The Celebration

"Lotta Love" was Larson's hit. This duet was her biggest Country hit..

I'll leave you with "Let Me Go, Love"

Battle of the Bands: I Bid You Goodnight

It is a Sunday and a late at night. Sounds perfect for a traditional Bahamian gospel song. It was a song the Grateful Dead added into their repertoire decades ago. You know the drill, vote for the version you like best in the comments. I'm going to have three contenders this go around. I'll even the songs out by omitting the usual reference version.

Contender One: Aaron Neville

Contender Two: Nicolette Larson

Contender Three: Soweto Gospel Choir

I hope you enjoy this Battle of the Bands. I will post the results  in another post and I will have another Battle on the 15th. I am sure I will post a few on the days in between. Until next time I bid you goodnight.
