Monday's Music Moves Me: Remembering Pat DiNizio
This week topic is a freebie and I thought I would pay tribute to Pat DiNizio. He was the singer and guitarist for The Smithereens who passed away last month.
Another celebrity passes. :( WOW! How funny is that, I don't remember The Smithereens but I really liked "Blood and Roses". Nice tribute. Thanks for sharing the fine mewsic and for hitting the dance floor with the 4M gang!
I never really followed The Smithereens for some reason (A Girl Like You is the one song from them I knew before your blog post). We are losing so many greats - this year and the past two years.
I heard that about Pat DiNizio. Very sad. Did they ever announce his cause of death? Too young. Another great lost way too soon.
I Love the Smithereens! I was just listening to several of their songs over the weekend and in fact one of their songs will be featured in my Color Songs series (Indigo Blues). Their Blow Up album is my very favorite. Very nice tribute post Mike.

I don't know how I missed his music. Sorry for his passing. Sad.
