R.I.P Glenn Frey

Glenn Frey, guitarist, co-founder of the Eagles, and a darn good solo artist has passed away. I was fortunate to see him in concert once touring with Joe Walsh.

"The One You Love"

Coming of age in the 80s and early 90s Frey's solo work really grabbed me being featured in popular movie and television shows.

"The Heat is On"

Here is commercial from that era..

"You Belong to the City"

The Eagles with "Lyin' Eyes"

The world lost a great musician who will be missed by his bandmates, fans and family.

Hi, Mike!

As I stated in my reply to you on SDMM, the reaper is working overtime lately. I loved the Eagles and Glenn Frey. I remember how popular the video for "Smuggler's Blues" was with the viewing audience at the MTV station where I worked in the 80s. I had forgotten about that super cool Miami Vice-inspired Pepsi commercial that he made with Don Johnson. We lost another singing, songwriting and acting giant this year and it's only mid January! Thanks for remembering Glenn Frey, good buddy!

Hi Mike!

Gosh, Glenn Frey affected me more than David Bowie... what a loss! Loved all of the songs you featured... thank you. I'm so glad I saw the Eagles in concert... long time ago now... but what a concert it was. I hope you have a great week. Kudos on this tribute!!!!
