A friend of mine posted this on facebook. After the first three it gets harder. I like a whole lot more than five. Wow! My list has changed in the last 5 years dramatically. Here are mine with examples.
1) Jimi Hendrix
2) Jeff Beck
3) Buddy Guy
4) Steve Morse
5) Tommy Emmanuel

The top of whatever lists are always so hard. Who do you include? Who do you leave out?
That's one heck of a list right there. I dont know who my top 5 would be, but Eric Clapton would be somewhere near the top, with Hendrix and Joe Satriani. Maybe Slash or Kirk Hammett. Tom Morello is really good, too. (Wow, this is hard!)

It's so hard to pick only 5! Jimi Hendrix will always be #1. ☺ The others, in no particular order: Jeff Beck, Tony Iommi, Joe Bonamassa, Alex Masi. Or....there's also Slash, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Rory Gallagher and on and on. I have a "thing" for guitarists. LOL
Forgot Santana! and Jimmy Page! So many great guitarists.
Debbie and Chris it is hard and like I said it is very fluid.
Always tough to do a list like this. What makes them top? Is it technique? Sound? You could debate endlessly. I may try to come up with my list.
