A to Z Challenge: Chicago the Musical

Today, I'm switching over to musical theater. At one time I did write about theater for this site. Why am I picking Chicago besides the fact it starts with a C? It was the first National Touring musical that I ever went to see back in 2002. I won tickets from a fabulous record store (remember them?).

What's not to like the musical has catchy songs, an easy to follow plot, eye candy, and "All That Jazz". We caught the show at The Lyric, a beautiful venue in Baltimore, Maryland.

It was back on mind since, I just watched another touring version of the show in February in Pensacola.

That tour is playing sat The Kennedy Center now through  April 16, with Grammy Award winning singer Brandy Norwood portraying Roxie.

I notice there were some small differences since the last time I witness the performance, which was nice. Seeing the show before, watching the movie version you do get used to the show.

This is just a quick post on /c and /i will be back with a D post soon.

New Baseball Blog

I know Spring Training is still a ways off. However, I just wanted to announce my new blog. The blog is focused on the Baltimore Orioles. Right now it is all about the Hot Stove and what moves the Orioles have made this off season. If your interested please feel free to check it out here. So far I have a blog about Miguel Tejada rejoining the Baltimore Orioles, an article on Gonzalez being the new closer for the O's, and a blog about the Orioles getting Millwood in a trade. I have been blogging on there fairly regularly so there should be more stuff on there soon.

Work, skiing, and other writing activities have kept me away from this blog. However, rest assure there are more updates to come on this blog.

next sport: rock climbing?

Well this summer I have been doing more hiking. Well, I wanted to get in better shape and it is pretty cheap. Especially, when you live as close to the trails as I do. This is very good in these economic times. I want to do more fishing, heck I want to do a whole lot more.

If I had more money, time, and all I think a sport I would pick up is rock climbing. I've been repelling, I have done a climbing wall, and I have done a bit of caving. There are some great rocks to climb close to me..

Also the sport is growing because there are more places to climb indoors. That is pretty cool. People can use it for fitness or improve their skills. They also don't have to worry about the weather.

If you live close to Washington or Baltimore(or plan to visit there) I wrote an article about some of the indoor rock climbing areas nearby. Check out the article here.
