The battle of The Who's "Won't get Fooled Again" was won easily by Van Halen over Ann Wilson 6 to 1. The cover by Van Halen was recorded during the Sammy Hagar years. As usual we celebrate winners.

I can't believe I haven't used Van Halen for an A to Z Challenge. Well I will today.
"Jump"was the Van Halen song that really introduced me to the band. A few years later "Runnin' with the Devil" was a song we used to come out to during my wrestling years.

The Eddie Van Halen endorsed, new version of "Runnin' with the Devil" by Jennifer Hope was soundly beat by Jake E. Lee and friends more traditional rock version. The final score 6 to 2. Sometimes different works sometimes not so much.
Jake E. Lee's victory does work great for Rocktober and the Rock. Jake E. Lee has worked with a lot of hard rock bands.
The song title "Runnin' with the Devil" kind of has that Halloween feel to it. Van Helen and their song certainly fits Rocktober. There is a new cover that Eddie endorsed the other day out so there is hope for some contenders.

I read on Facebook today is National Ice Cream Day. After fact checking on google and confirming today is National Ice Cream Day I thought it would be fun to add another Battle. I think I went away from everything I was ever advised to do on my last Battle of the Bands. Don't have the original band in the completion. I included them. Don't mix studio and live tracks. Phish was a live track. Limit the choices to two, I had three. Of course some of those where from the days when Battle of the Bands was bigger. I miss a lot of those bloggers.
It would be neat to have a Battle of the Bands reunion. I know some have probably left blogging all together. Oh I digress and ramble into other things. The results that is what you want. A three way tie.

I heard it said somewhere "everything is political." I read all the comments on my blog. I don't reply back to most of them. However, I do quote some of them or give a shout out here and there. Sometimes they inspire my Battle of the Bands battles. I wing out the posts on my blog anyway so ideas are always welcomed.
A strange comment I received was "Unfortunately BOTB is all about politics, with is why it was no fun for me."
