The above song was from Chris Cornell's last solo album and I really liked the song.It shouldn't be a surprise Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog all produced some cool songs.

Battle of the Bands Results: Friday I'm in Love with these Results

Every vote counts in the Battle of the Bands. Yo Le Tengo raced out to an early three nothing lead. After putting this battle together I spent way too much time listening to Yo Le Tengo which I enjoyed!

Well with the A to Z Challenge going on I missed the result post for my 4.15 Battle of the Bands. It was a strange Battle featuring a Chuck Berry song covered by Marty Robbins and Gene Vincent. Marty Robbins won convincingly 5 to 1. Our hero the Gunslinger.

Colonel Hampton bids farewell at his own Tribute..R.I.P

It was a tribute to an influential career, a celebration of 70 fabulous trips around the sun, an All-Star cast which became Colonel Bruce Hampton's final performance. Maybe the fans deserved an encore, maybe the musicians were such a delight to play with, perhaps he wanted to leave it all on the stage. Whatever the reason there was an encore. He passed his solo onto another musician and collapsed on the stage. The show, more importantly his life both came to an end.
