Battle of the Bands:Commercially Rocking with Queen

Welcome to the late, late night version of the Battle of the Bands.

How it works: I post two versions of the songs. You listen to the songs and let me know which one you thought was the best in the comments. I count up the votes and announce a winner at a later day which will be around May 21.

Short, sweet and rocking tonight!

The Song: We Will Rock You by Queen

Challenger One: Nickelback

Challenger Two: Pepsi Commercial Britney Spears, Beyonce, Pink and Enrique Iglesias

Yes, I went a bit commercial. Who will win? Nickelback or the Pop filled Pepsi commercial? Remember your vote decides, Please vote in the comments and I will see you soon!

R.I.P Glenn Frey

Glenn Frey, guitarist, co-founder of the Eagles, and a darn good solo artist has passed away. I was fortunate to see him in concert once touring with Joe Walsh.

"The One You Love"

Coming of age in the 80s and early 90s Frey's solo work really grabbed me being featured in popular movie and television shows.

"The Heat is On"

Here is commercial from that era..

"You Belong to the City"

The Eagles with "Lyin' Eyes"

The world lost a great musician who will be missed by his bandmates, fans and family.
