Monday's Music Moves Me: Christmas and the Battle of the Bands

Well I am back on the Monday's Music Moves Me Christmas train this week...

I participate in another blog hop called Battle of the Bands on the 15th of the month, so with that coming up around the corner I thought it would be neat to post the songs that I have used for my Holiday battles here. If nothing else it will show me what songs I have already used.

Last year..

Greg Lake's "I Believe in Father Christmas"

In 2015 I used "Christmas Cookies" by George Strait

At that time we were doing Battles Twice a month so.."You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch"

In 2014 I used "Happy Xmas The War is Over" by John Lennon

I invite you to visit my blog on the 15th and see what song I use in my Battle of the Bands Christmas edition! Also a reminder I have a giveaway going on for a Christmas book through my Facebook page details are available here. I hope you are enjoying the Holiday Season!

Battle of the Bands: Christmas Cookies

Hard to believe it is the 15th already. It is time for another Battle of the Bands battle. Again I am going with a Holiday theme.

To get in the Holiday spirit I picked a yummy song "Christmas Cookies." The rules are simple I pick a song and present a couple of bands battling it out with the song. You pick the one you like best by casting your vote in the comments. The whys and other comments are always welcomed.

Please check out the other battles:

Happy Birthday George Strait

Today is George Strait's birthday. Thought I would go a little Country with the blog today. George Strait is a good choice for taking the blog Country since he has 60 number one hits.

Here he is with "Amarillo By Morning"

George was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

A Country "Troubadour" if you will...

Since Summer is around the corner this song fits perfect...

"The Seashores of Old Mexico" Here is his first hit "Unwound"

I'll end my George Strait celebration with "Ocean Side Property"

Do you like Country? What is your favorite George Strait song? Feel free to share in the comments. Thanks for visiting!
