Happy Halloween

Well I have to work tonight so not to much of a Halloween for me. However,, I have been watching some horror movies this week to get in the mood for the holiday.

I started off with Alligator X, it fit with the bayous and swamp lands that make up my surroundings, especially on road trips to New Orleans.

Here is the trailer for the movie..

The next one was Snake Island...

These moves were kind of predictable. The alligator special effects was neat and the inbred bad guys were humorous in a sophomoric way. Lots of snakes in the snake one. Pretty predictable, lots of animals, and lots of "cheese."

Then I switched from the nature horrors to a vampire movie..

We Are The Night was about some female vampires. It actually had a couple of interesting love stories woven into the plot.

Well those were my Halloween movies this year, feel free to share yours!

Halloween

Quiet Halloween. I took my daughter dressed up as Cinderella trick or treating in some nearby neighborhoods.  Didn't appear like as many folks were participating this year as normal. So she brought home a modest amount of candy, but considering she lost a tooth yesterday it probably is just as well. The best part of it all was a chance to spend time with her. Combined with the trip to the pumpkin patch, a Fall Festival, a special movie, and a couple of costume parties I think she had a good Halloween season.

I don't have a bunch of Halloween related articles that I have written. I wrote one about a Ghost tOur in Harpers Ferry. These are fun and a great way to learn about the local history. I also took one in Gettysburg. You can read my Harpers Ferry review here.

I did a review of the vampire movie "Blood and Donuts on Disturbing Films you can read the review here. Hopefully by next Halloween I will have more reviews up. Oh well I hope every one had a great Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween! We are going over to a friends house who live in a more suburban neighborhood, then our hill. The kids will have more of a chance to Trick or Treat. It should be fun as it will be my daughters first time Trick or Treating. Her first Halloween she was only 6 months old. She will be dressed up either as a cat or a ninja.

Which means candy for big old dad! Since my daughter isn't into eating candies yet and she isn't old enough to jack up the prices on me like my my step son. Sure for Mom it is five cents, me its 50 cents. My daughter will get to climb up many doorsteps, which at her age is a big deal and something she enjoys. Plus she will be able to knock on lots of doors and say "Hi!"and "Bye!" Trick or Treat may be a new phrase to teach her. Then we get to have dinner with friends and socialize with adults which is a good way to kick off the weekend.

Well I hope everyone has a great Halloween!
