April Blogging A to Z Challenge 2026: M is for Monkeys in Belize

 Another animal I did not see in the wild in Belize was the Howler Monkey. I did hear them in the jungle at the night.

Much like the Jaguar that I didn't see in the wild it was still a thrill to know they were out there!

R.I.P Peter Tork

Peter Tork passed away today. He best known as being a founder, keyboardist and bass player in The Monkees. Here are a couple of songs from The Monkees prime years..

Blogging from A to Z: Z is for Zoo

Well here we come to the end of another A to Z Challenge and I have survived! I will wrap up on a post about a book I read Zoo by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge. Lately a lot of my reading has been inspired by movie and television. (Not all)

Reading the Dexter series, James Bond movies, The Finest Hours, adult comics and more. I was inspired to read Zoo from watching a few episodes of the CBS show on Netflix. The book is quite different from the show!

I enjoyed the book and recommend it. Looking at the reviews on Goodreads some would disagree. If you look deep enough the book has flaws. Some didn't like the short chapters. I disagree on that! I liked small chapters easier to read and put down in case you needed to. The short chapters made built in stopping points. 

The book kept my interest for the most part through out! The book entertained. It was fiction and I found it a fun read.

R.I.P. Larry Hagman

Larry Hagman the actor who played J.R. Ewing on "Dallas" in the 70's and 80's and also on the recent TNT revival has passed away due to complications with cancer. He died on Friday. You can read more on his death in this New York Times obit.

I remember watching the reruns of this show when I was growing up. He also starred in a few Broadway plays before his successful television career. His talents will be missed and he will be missed by his family and love ones.
