A to Z Challenge: Eddie Murphy

I came of age in the 80s and 90s which coincided with the peak of Eddie Murphy's career. Needless to say he was popular with me and my peer group. Some of his work was well received earning great awards and some earned him Raspberry Awards.

He was among the entertainers who helped make Saturday Night Live so fun to watch.

Some forget he was stand-up comedian, here is his first appearance on Johnny Carson's show...

Of course there were the movies! "Coming to America"

A clip from "Beverly Hills Cop"

How about Eddie as a donkey..

What roles did you like Eddie Murphy as? Do you have a favorite movie he was in? Feel free to share in the comments.

Eddie Murphy was the best, especially in the 80's-early 90's. I loved Beverly Hills Cop and he was great in Shrek, too. I remember one day while I was in high school (late 90's) my best friend and I hung out after school and watched Raw we laughed so hard all afternoon. Good times.

Beverly Hills Cop
48 Hours

Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood was big on SNL. But I don't really remember it.

Murphy has no lack of talent for sure and he's done some good stuff. But he's also done stuff I didn't care much for. Haven't noticed anything he's done recently.
