R.I.P Batman

I became familiar with Batman through the reruns of the classic show starring Adam West who passed away on Friday.

Obviously he will be missed by fans and family. 88 years is a long life and most of that he gave to his profession. May he rest in peace.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is so much more than an unofficial start of summer or an excuse for a three day weekend. It should be a somber reminder of the cost of war or conflict. A somber reminder that cost is measured in more than dollar and cents.

The day should be a reminder to the world to strive for peace. It should be a reminder for politicians to remember the sacrifice of conflict.  It should be a reminder that when diplomacy fails there is a price to pay.

Today is a day to remember those who have served in the military and who are no longer with us. Especially those who died in service. The people we remember were neighbors, friends, family members, loved ones, parents, someone's mom or dad. Yes they were Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines. Ues they served in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy and Marines. However, they were so much more. 

Some fall in the line of duty performing tasks, practicing, saving lifes, and just by performing dangerous tasks. Today is a day to remember them as well. 

Today is a day to remember their sacrifice and our Country's sacrifice. It is a day to pray and strive for peace. It is a day to remember and reflect.

R.I.P Gregg Allman

Gregg Allman a legend of Southern Rock, songwriter, co-founder, organist, singer for the Allman Brothers passed away yesterday. I was able to see the Allman Brothers a couple of times when I went to the Wannee Festival in 2011. I am a fan and have covered many musicians with a closs connection to Gregg Allman. Like many I am saddened by this news.

A Saint and a double Agent on the Silver Screen passed away as Roger Moore has died.

Off for a while

I've been a busy bee for quite a while. Taking a few days off in a row to visit my parents. Who have some ailments, which I suppose come with growing old. I was trying to do another trip with my family but the logistics challenge of that kind of exploded.

Sames like my plans kinda go like that lately. I want to do this or that and end up doing none of the above. Life is crazy, kids, family, work..busy, busy, busy.

But it isn't bad. The flipside could be worse. But I'll see you all soon!
