My NCAA Rankings 2024-25 After Week 14

 I missed a week with a busy schedule. However, I am back. Championship week coming up, followed by Army-Navy and then Bowl Games.

 1) Oregon Ducks (11-0) beat Washington. Plays Penn State next in the Big Ten Championship.

2) Texas Longhorns (11-1) beat Kentucky and topped Texas A&M 17-7. Meets Georgia in SEC Championship.

3) Penn State Nittany Lions (11-1) beat Minnesota, crushed Maryland 44-7. Plays Oregon in the Big Ten Championship

4) Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-1) beat Army, beat USC 49-35.

5) SMU Mustangs (11-1) beat Virginia and smashed California 38-6. Faces Clemson in the ACC Championship.

6) Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2) beat Indiana, then fell to Michigan 13-10.

7) Indiana Hoosiers (11-1) lost to Ohio State, then crushed Purdue 66-0.

NCAA Football rolled through week 5. My previous number one and number six fell. The top 6 look solid. After that there is some shuffling. A few teams fell out and a few other teams are looking to get inside the rankings. The first full month of College Football has come to an end. How will October unfold?

My Rankings NCAA Football 2024-25: After week 2

 NCAA Football rolled through week 2. Some teams rolled on, some teams were upset and some squeaked out victory. See how my rankings unfold.

1) Georgia Bulldogs (2-0) rolled over Tennessee Tech 48-3. The Bulldogs have yet to give up a touchdown. They have their SEC opener against Kentucky next.

2) Ohio State Buckeyes (2-0) shut out Western Michigan 56-0. The Buckeyes have a week off before Marshall.

3) Texas Longhorns (2-0) routed Michigan 31-12 to make a statement. I jumped them to number three and so far, they look as good as anyone. They entertain UTSA next.

4) Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0) pulled away from South Florida 42-16. Visit Wisconsin next.

5) Oregon Ducks (2-0) topped Boise State 37-34. The Ducks visit Oregon State next.

Questions on the Gulf Oil Spill

It should never take this long to stop an oil leak from an oil rig. The damage will be incredible. Hopefully, we will learn valuable lessons from it. It needs to be stopped! We also need to focus on how to clean up this mess and minimize the ecological damage.

How do we clean up the damaged gulf? How do we stop it from spreading to the Caribbean?  How do we stop it from spreading to the Atlantic Ocean? How do we clean up the damaged wetlands? How to we reverse the damage? When will it be safe for the shrimpers to go back to making a living? When will it be safe to eat gulf shrimp again? When can the commercial fisherman go back to fishing the gulf? When can I take a charter fishing trip in the gulf and catch healthy safe fish? How many animals are going to go extinct over this? How many will go endangered? What is going to happen to the waterman who can't make a living? What is going to happen to the tourist towns on the gulf who will lose visitors? How do we make sure something like this never happens again?

Not everybody at BP is evil and BP does do some good things. The government isn't all bad. It isn't a blame game. We don't have time for that. Yes BP should cover the cost. However we have to work together and answer the questions I asked and I am sure there are more questions to be answer. Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida all deserve better. It is another slap to the regions face, just like Katrina. And this tragedy effects more than the five states mentioned it effects us all.

My First Top 25 Rankings This Season

The 2009 College football season is right around the corner! Last season I did my 25 rankings all through the season, this year I plan to continue.

I have the defending champions Florida ranked number 1, I have some teams you would expect and a few surprises. Check out all the rankings here.

If you want to compare this season's first rankings to my final rankings last season, those rankings are here. I had Florida as the champs, followed by Utah, USC and Texas.

It was fun to have a rankings through out the season, as I was able to see teams climb up and other teams fall out. I am sure this season will be the same. Well here is to the 2009 college football season kicking off.
