Monday's Music Moves Me: Random March Number One Hits

Today's theme for Monday's Music Moves Me is a freebie and I'm choosing number one hits in March. I am pushing the random, shuffle button on the way button and picking some number one songs from yesteryear!

The Clash "Should I Stay or Should I Go"

It was March of 1991 and the above song knocked "Do The Bartman" by the Simpsons from the number one spot.

On this date in 1989 Madonna took the number one spot for  three weeks with "Like A Prayer"

In 1986 Diana Ross topped the charts with "Chain Reaction" for three weeks...

"Easy Lover" Philip Bailey with Phil Collins

That song hit number one for four weeks in 1985.

Lionel Richie said "Hello" for six weeks at number one in 1984...

In 1976 The Brotherhood of Man had a number one with "Save Your Kisses for Me"

I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you again so!

Lionel Richie

Lionel Richie is playing Wolf Trap tonight July 21 and Tuesday July 22, 2014.  I wrote a preview article here at Examiner. The article has a slide show of recent pictures of Lionel Richie and an interesting video of opener CeeLo Green. Recently I wrote about him in another article about musicians who have adopted children you are invited to read that article here.

Of course here in my blog I am going to add some music videos. Starting off with Lionel's first number one hit...

"Endless Love" with the amazing Diana Ross. For CeeLo Green lets go back to his Gnarls Barkley days for "Crazy"

If you are lucky enough to catch this tour I hope you enjoy! I'll say goodbye with this one..
