R.I.P Warren Miller

When I think of ski films the first name that comes to my mind is Warren Miller. His film caught the beauty of the location, the ruggedness of the terrain and the final productions were master pieces. He was a pioneer in the extreme, adventure sport entertainment industry.

"Don't take life too seriously, because you can't come out of it alive" was a quote from Warren Miller who passed away at the age of 93 last week.

Below are some goofiest moments from his films..

The trailer for his 1985 film "Steep and Deep"..

My favorite quote from him was "If you don't do it this year, you will be one year older when you do."

The film world lost a legend but his legacy lives on through his films.

R.I.P Wes Craven

His movies probably left many of us unable to rest in peace after watching them. However, I hope Wes Craven who has passed away at the age of 76  is able to rest in peace. Wes Craven was a master of the horror film. He was a director, producer, writer and actor.

Here is a clip featuring a top 10 list of his horror films...

He is best known for A Nightmare on Elm Street Series and the Scream franchise.

He also was an author writing two books. The original Scream movie was the highest grossing film of Wes Craven's career earning $173 million.

What was your favorite Wes Craven film? Feel free to share in the comments. Thanks for visiting and I will have a new post soon!

The movie "Dead Kansas"

I'm playing catch up on my blog going back and blogging about thinks I meant to blog about earlier.  I reviewed a movie called "Dead Kansas" last month. It was a Zombie flick. You can read my review here.

dead kansas

The film brought me full circle to the first film I reviewed Blood and Donuts which was about vampires instead of zombies.

Here is a promo of sorts for Dead Kansas..

The film did win the Fantastic Horror Film Festival in San Diego Award for Best Zombie movie in 2014. I thought the movie was a bit short. I know the budget was low but it would need more to be a feature film. That said the film did have it's moments and I was impressed by a couple of things!

A to Z Challenge: Q

Today is the letter Q in the A to Z: Challenge so I decided to select Q from the James Bond movie and novel franchise.

Here are some quick clips from Q in the movies..

A new Q is introduced in the movie Skyfall...

A bit of trivia for all the book lovers out there. The character Q never appears in Ian Fleming's novels. However a Q Branch is mentioned.

Below James Bond meets Q in From Russia with Love..

Are you a fan of the James Bond novels or movie? What is your favorite Q moment from one of the films?

Thanks for visiting! I will be back tomorrow with another A to Z post!
