Battle of the Bands Results: In Honor of Little Richard Zeppelin beats The Boss Handly

Sadly the world lost Little Richard. My battle of the bands play tribute to him by selecting his song "Long Tall Sally." Bruce might be the boss but he is not the mighty Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin wasn't just Robert Plant. This might not be his finest vocal performance as one reader commented:

"I think this could be titled 'Battle Of The Screamers'"

As noted by another reader:

"They have Jimmy Page... "

The band also had John Bonham and John Paul Jones which together made them Led Zeppelin. It is all math 4 greats better than 1. The votes agreed 5 to 1.

Let's celebrate:

                                                  "Celebration Day"

"Over the Hills and Far Away"

"Rock and Roll"

Hope you enjoyed! I will have another battle on the 1st!

R.IP LITTLE RICHARD

Rock and Roll pioneer, musical icon, the Innovator, the Originator, the Architect of Rock and Roll all describe one performer Little Richard. Sadly the flamboyant performer has passed away at the age of 87. We pay tribute the musical legend on my blog. He earned a lot of honors while he was alive Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame, Blues Hall of Fame, and several lifetime achievement. He influence The Beatles, Elvis, and so many more.

Supposedly the first performance of "Tutti Frutti"

Followed up by "Long Tall Sally"

The icon had a bunch of unforgettable hits!

"Good Golly Miss Molly!"

His legacy is unique. He left his footprint in the music of the greats he influenced. He left a catalog of how rock and roll was created behind with his songs.

"Keep on Knockin'" and keep on rocking.
