Monday's Music Moves me; songs that Start with J

It's Monday, it is time for Monday's Music Moves Me, so lets rock, dance, laugh  and enjoy as I pick some songs that fit today's theme.

Well I am gonna start things out with The Rolling Stones "Jumping Jack Flash"

I went live and vintage on that one.

John Cougar Mellencamp "Jack and Diane"

Paul McCartney and Wings "Jet"

Johnny and June Cash "Jackson"

Dolly Parton "Jolene"

Continuing with classic country Hank Williams with "Jambalaya"

"Johnny B Goode" may have eaten Jambalaya, give it a go Chuck Berry...

I'll wrap up with a fun one. Rick Springfield "Jessie's Girl"

Thanks for visiting! I will see you soon.

Neil Young and Waylon Jennings perform "Get Back to the Country" at the original Farm Aid

Willie Nelson performs "Always on my Mind" at last year's Farm Aid

John Mellencamp performs "Small Town" in 1987

Dave Matthews Band "Crash Into Me" from Farm Aid 1997

Neil Young "Heart of Gold" from the first one

Happy Birthday Roctober 7 John Mellencamp

Rocktober continues on my blog as we celebrate John Mellencamp's birthday.
When  I was in seventh grade top 40 radio rocked a lot more than it does today. At that time John Mellencamp was huge on the radio and in my music world. Some how he was put on my musical back burner. Probably the results of being exposed to a ton of music over three decades. However, October 7, 2016 marks the singers 64th birthday. I'm wowed by how he aged so much and by reflecting back on his music.

Back then I was living in "Small Town"...

But this is my story not "Jack and Diane"...

Because "Your Life is Now"...

and we all need "A Hand to Hold on To"...

I hope he enjoys his birthday. If you have a special John Mellencamp memory or song feel free to share in the comments.I'll be back with another Rocktober post soon.
