Blogging from A to Z Challenge 2022: U is Jose Uribe

Jose Uribe played in the Major Leagues for 10 seasons, mostly for the San Fransisco Giants. The shortstop. His life ended in a car accident in his native Dominican Republic when he was 47. Not the biggest stat, but he had a long career. Who are some of your favorite players who might not have been stars?

I will be back tomorrow with a new post.

Happy Birthday Willie Mays

The great Willie Mays turns 82 today. He was a 24-time all star, two-time all star game MVP, and two-time National League All-Star. He hit over .300 for his career, hit 660 home runs and over 3,000 hits. Mays was a first ballet Hall of Famer. It goes without saying he was one of the best centerfielders to play the game.

Here is the play he is best known for "The Catch"...

Hete is his song...

His 660th homer...

Happy Birthday Willie Mays!
